End of Nations
Monopol, BerlinAt Berlin's End of Nations Festival, a stage for examining the pressing dilemmas of our age, DEREAL Studio partnered with studio.512, Monopol and Theresa Reiwer in an unconventional configuration. Encircling the audience with eight screens, the setup disrupted traditional modes of engagement between viewer and canvas.
In the provocative main event "Decoding Bias," Artificial Intelligences grappled with the complexities of their programmed prejudices.
DEREAL Studio contributed to this intricate dialogue by inserting abstract audiovisual interludes. These served as momentary sanctuaries, allowing audiences to digest the preceding content while preparing them for what lay ahead.
The abstract scenes were landscapes of thought, visual and auditory textures that facilitated both introspection and conversation. They formed not mere intermissions, but integral chapters in a larger narrative. Like a palette cleanser in a complex meal, these interludes reset perception, opening new avenues for understanding and interpretation.
