DEREAL Studio x Magnificent Matter - Projection Mapping

Kultursommerfestival 2023 in Berlin commissioned this projection mapping collaboration between DEREAL Studio and Magnificent Matter, two collectives with a shared commitment to pushing artistic and technological boundaries. The façade of a building in Monopol became the canvas.

Magnificent Matter contributed their signature microscope visuals, intricate patterns inspired by nature's microscopic realms. DEREAL Studio infused the collaboration with generative textures, creating a dynamic interface between organic and digital landscapes.

The public experience was a journey through scaled realities, from the micro to the macro, guided by real-time audiovisual elements. Spectators witnessed the fusion of two distinct artistic languages coalescing into a new dialect—a visual narrative that spoke to both the intricacies of natural microscopic design and the limitless possibilities of digital generative art.
